Derbyshire 3rd ended their season this weekend with mixed fortunes. A strong Isle of Man team travelled to Derbyshire to play on both Saturday and Sunday. The 3rds won a close battle on Saturday 8-7 (trailing 7-5 going in to the mixed) to earn 2 points. IOM recruited their top lady for the Sunday match which in turn boosted their squad and helped them to an impressive 11-4 victory.

Paul Todds team still sit top of Div 4A but will have to rely on the results of others if they are to be promoted. An excellent season of performances from the 3rds in their first year in division 4. Some promising debuts from our top juniors will only add to their chances of promotion next year. We will keep our fingers crossed for IOM and Durham to slip up before the end of the season!!
